What comes next...
The team is currently working on the following features:
- Remote management: thanks to the complete separation of the core engine from the gui management, we will soon have an interface for accessing and controlling a remote instance of virtualbricks. The remote control protocol will support authentication and encryption. It is already possible to disable the gui and run virtualbricks from command line
- GUI: We are continuously porting GUI components from Qemulator, and adding charming features.
- Live configuration of the bricks: changing parameters through the console was already foreseen during design. This development is almost finished.
- VDE female plug: already foreseen in the design, we will soon code the support for vde female plug. This will allow host2host and wire*2host connections with no switch in the middle.
- Scheduled Events: use time-based events to turn on/off bricks, reconfigure them while they are running.
